Ok from my expirience the mother (the most imporant person you need to win affection from) is going to judge your clothes. If you wear some skimpy short shorts and a low-cut tank top that will be a automatic turn off for her. Wear casual pants and a sweater or a tee shirt. Second find out what they aare interested in before hand. Then you have something to win them over with! And be giggly and cute but not drunken college girl giggly. But dont be to serious. Parents are very judgmental on personality. Good luck :)

alright! first off, take a breather and relax a bit lol when i was meeting my guy's parents for the first time i was extremely nervous. I didn't know if i should wear jeans and a shirt or a dress. It all pertains to what he says. Ask him, should i dress up nice or casual. What is his family like? My guy's family wore shorts and t-shirts so i was happy i listened and wore a shirt and jeans. If he says "not to dress up just wear jeans and a shirt", guys don't realize how many possibilities there are in that statement. In a case like that i would suggest jeans, maybe a button up blouse or a button up plaid shirt and wear cute sandals. Maybe gladiators if you have them? If he tells you to dress nice for dinner, try asking him what level of "dress up" is necessary. It's hard to give tips but as an overall suggestion, GRAB him, ask him what to wear and pull him into your closet so he can help you pick out something. That's what i did and it worked! Also, as a side note, personality can out-weigh how you are dressed so be yourself :) and it's ok to be nervous! i was nervous all the way 'til the night ended! You will do great!

i would suggest nice clothes but casual at the same don't want them to think you're too plain/boring but you don't want them to think you show too much. i'd wear nice jeans (dark is better in my opinion) and then a nice shirt; not something too nice, but in between normal and dressy....something you'd wear to a dinner out or something. I wear 'normal' clothing when i'm around my boyfriend's parents and then like me. they think better of me than my boyfriend's friend's girlfriend (she wears more revealing clothing)
