How do I convince my parents to have my braces taken off early?

I have a minor, minor, minor crossbite. It's not bad. at all. and I've had braces since last February. I had a pallet expander, spacers, rubberbands, blablabla. I'm happy with my teeth. and I do not want these things anymore. My parents are currently paying 140 dollars a month for these stupid things. How do I convince them to get them off?

Wait right there - if your orthodontist, not your parents, says that you can get them off, you can get them off. If he doesn't give the OK to do so, just wait. Even though it sucks right now (I'm 15 and I've had my braces on for two years) it's all better in the long run. If you remove them now before they're ready, then your teeth will shift back to where they were and you might have to get braces again. It might seem useless, but you actually need a lot of work to correct something that small. I had a tiny overbite and one crooked tooth, but I still had to wear spacers, a pallete expander for a year (cutting my tounge in the process, owww) and top braces. My ortho told me that I would only need top braces, for a year, but then he went ahead and put on stupid bottom braces, and now I've had my braces for a loooongg year and a half. It's so much better to wait it out and pay 140 dollars a month NOW, because if you take them off now and have to get them put back on, that alone would be a hugee expense, and then they would have to pay another 140 dollars a month for it all over again, so keeping them on will save them TONS of money.
Pleasee don't take your braces off now. Spare yourself the pain, and your parents the extra money.
Just wait a few months and you'll have beautiful teeth :)
Getting mine off in a month, cross your fingers!!
