What is the best state to live in in all of the U.S. of A? and why?

So I've been to a lot of states.

New Mexico

South Dakota

and of course, good old Wisconsin.

But since I don't live in any state exept my own, I don't know what the atmosphere is like in any of them and i don't know what the community is like in any of them. I've really been thinking about where I want to live when I grow up and get married. I was thinking North or South Carolina, Maine, Alaska, Georgia, or Virginia. Or any other state, really. I just wanted to know your opinions. Thanks!

I have lived in alot of places, for the last seven years ive pretty much (my parents are divorced and for the last couple of years ive switched around) lived in Arizona, i like it here, in the summer its good for swimming or late night bonfires or whatever and in the winter its not to cold but if you want snow you can go up to the mountains(: the down side is it can get pretty boring here, no beaches or anything so most people usually go down to mexico for that or to california (which ive never been to)... I just lived in florida last year with my mom and it was pretty nice, i love the beach!(: i didnt really like the public schools, their really laid back and the teachers didnt really care and i HATED the humidity... ive lived in North carolina a couple times and its really pretty there! you have all four seasons and i think the schools are good and you get the beaches, the snow, etc the downside is theres still not much to do there but i really liked it there!...ive also lived in delaware and new jersey... theyre both really small friendly places it just makes you feel at home you can take trips to new york or washington dc form those places too... and then theres michigan, it gets really cold there but i liked it the schools were okay and the people were pretty nice too...overall i think AZ NC or FL(:

Well I'm sure most of the responses will be biased to some point. I was born and raised in Colorado. I personally LOVE it. There are mountains, valleys, flat lands, desserts, forests. You can go from hiking in shorts one minute and then drive 60 minutes and go skiing. There are never any major natural disastors... I guess that's not completely true. There have been forest fires but not many and mostly just in the forested areas. Where I live (Grand Junction) we don't have anything major weather wise...ever. Plus we have 4 seasons!! I love it here for all those reasons! It really is a well rounded state with the best of all worlds!

I'd love to be in California. but I don't see it in your list, so I guess my pick would be Florida. I know it's nice and warm there (can't stand the cold).
