Confidence Issues In school

I think you can work out from the title what its about!

okay... so when i'm at home or about to leave for school i'l look in the mirror and be fine with what i see, same with when i'm out in my own clothes. I'm really loud and fun (i think) around my family too!

When i get into school its like i shut down.

The uniform we have to wear is really unflattering and makes me look younger than i am, I go really shy and because of that i dont have any close friends and i talk to a boy maybe once a week. For like a minute... its pathetic...

i've tried everything but nothing helps

like ive seen people out of school and been fine and talked to them for ages, then when we're back in school i go shy and dont talk...

i'm really getting annoyed and people have started asking why and i dont have an answer!

any tips or help would be great!

Hello fefee, I understand your situation, but mine is exacerbated. Imagine not being noticed, imagine people acting like you don't even exist.. People don't even give me a glance. That is my reality. I have very little confidence. I keep complimenting people in school, in the hopes they will think differently of me. People at least aren't whispering about me, thats a start. Being a shy person also, I know that this can be difficult. Smile. That is one easy thing to do that initiates a response from someone, and you don't have to go out of your way for. Good luck. ;)

the same thing happens to me...ugh it really is depressing at times.mostly shy ppl are all loud and fun around family... because one is more comfortable around family members and they don't judge you and all.but it is hard opening up. Just try not to worry about what people think about you. That way your less self concious and junk. Oh about the uniform thing..i wear a uniform too..yeh not very nice. But noone can say much since they all are wearing the same thing.Thats kinda the benifit.Jeesh i hope this helped xO

i use to be that way..i just started complementing my self alot..evvery time i'd pass something in school that i could see myself in..i'd say to my self god your looking hott today..i know it sounds stupid and that you may just be too into yourself but it boosted my confidence up like major!!

some people just have safe zones

it's hard to be secure at school because you know everyone and you know how they feel toward you personally (or you think you do)

you have to remember you're just like anyone else. you're not standing out like a sore thumb if you crack a joke or smile at someone.

as i said it's hard and it just makes it harder if you don't already have a support person to be with you through the insecure areas (school)

i really feel the same , at home i feel good because i can be myself at home and there's no one who can judge you . but when i have to go to school ,or somewhere else i'm really shy and scared of what people think of me. i agree with samigore just start complimenting yourself alot :)

1)Defs i like this complimentting everyday i tell myself that i am beautiful and that ppl ebjoy being around me (even if the don't) if you believe that you are stunnig then so will other ppl

2)When trying to talk to someone think if you were them what would you think if someone approached you and how they would successfully become your friend and do that

3) don't be scared to be yourself, act on impulse, people perfer to be around someone who is themself and not faking to fit in

these are jst little tips i do to get me through the day, i have a lot of diffuculties with trust in people but when i do any of those things it makes me feel better about myself and people pick up on that and respond, they would rather be around a happy person then a negative one

also about the uniform, stress less love i HATE my uniform and so do the rest of the girls, so to make us feel better we alter our uniforms slighty and give our uniforms individuality, and that sounds what your problem is at school, you don't like the conformity of uniforms so you need to make it yours and maybe you will feel better about yourself and give yourself the confidence to make friends at school

i hope this helped and that things pick up for you sweetie
