my cousin my 5 year old little cousin we took her to valley children's hospital and the doctor said they didn't know what was wrong with her. her nails are peeling off from the cuticle and we don't know why. it's NOT NORMAL for a 5 year old girl to have her nails coming off! if you girlz have any info please get back to me ASAP. or email me at or you can text me at 559-940-8829 thank you :)

Fingernails that are soft that they come apart in layers are often a sign of nutritional deficiencies. Fingernails, like hair are made of a protein called keratin, and need enough protein from dietary sources to stay strong. Omega-3 fatty acids from sources like flaxseeds, fish, and walnuts help internally moisturize and strengthen nail... try giving her fish oil capsules ... i really hope they wud work... becoz omega-3 deficiency is d culprit of peeling nails most of d times...
