How can I treat my brittle, frizzy hair?

My hair is really broken, brittle, and frizzy. My hair's black and used to be pin-straight but now,my hair poofs like crazy and it's REALLY dry which makes my hair look kinda' craggly because my hair's straight. It's really damaged and my hair was only healthy before puberty. I've been using bio-silk and Pantene Moisture Renewal but my hair's still super-crunchy looking. My hair used to be long but the frizz was so uncontrollable I cut it up to my neck. I always see other asian girls with perfect shiny hair and all I can do is wish my hair was like that.

you can use any conditioner as a leave it to help

you can use olive oil as a leave on

and you can get a hot oil treatment (they sell one by Vo5 at walmart for cheap)

dont use oil products.. they do the wrong thing, especially for your kind of hair. use better conditioners and shampoos, first. cheap walmart hair products are horrible for hair. they dont clean it all the way. try using a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner from a salon (redken is only $6!) if you need another moisturizing agent, contact the salon you go to and see if they offer scalp treatments or deep conditioning treatments. when in doubt, see your hairstylist. :_
