I suggest you look through magazines online, whether they come in an e-version or downloadable and see what's in currently, what certain style you like, then try to make it your own or keep them in mind when you buy clothes. Lookbook.nu is also helpful when it comes to styles since most of the people come from everywhere and bring something unique to it. It basically all depends on what you want , if you prefer being "a la mode" then mags are a great way to start, just want to be comfy, wear whatever feels right on that day.

Haha same problem here. My advice: Just wear what you want to. For me; we have orientation in August; and that's when we take pictures. So I'm just wearing like shorts a cute top for pics. I don't know about you.

If you're really not sure what to wear; look around on orientation and get ideas from that. I don't know if you're an abercrombie t-shirt and skinny jeans kind of girl or if you just make something that's cute like I do; but do what's comfortable.

It's a new skirt and I know the last thing I want is for me to be in a super short skirt and worrying about it every five seconds. I reconmend jeans or shorts; so you don't have to worry in that aspect. Plus, if you where a pretty top, the jeans/short will casual it down; so it won't look like you're trying too hard.

Hope this helped! Haha but don't worry; I'm dealing with the same thing :)

For me when I used to go to school I would mix it up alot. One day I would where skinny jeans and a tee. Then the next day I would wear a really long tunic top and leggings. I used to just where skinnys and tees everyday and I realized I became really "boaring" (in the fashion sense) wearing those things every day. So I suggest mixing it up alot. You can look into magazines and see what's in style. I suggest getting the seventeen magazine. You can pretty much get them anywhere that sells magazines. It's really helpful in fashion, fitness, makeup, etc. And it's based for younger girls 12-25, but girls older and younger then that read them too. :) Good luck!!

i'm lucky enough to get to work in an office with no stringent dress codes. I usually come to work in my preferred "college" wardrobe which consists mainly of a tank top, jeans and wedges. some days i wear a fitted jacket over the tank to spruce it up a little. so yeah, go for the basics and just add in some funky accessories like a candy-colored tote or hoop earrings for extra glam factor.

thank you so much!

yea we already got our pictures done in may at the orientation which is kind of weird, and i don't start school until september so i have awhile to think about my outfit, haha.

i was actually thinking of wearing just jeans and a cardigan or something ;p

oh wait! you're still in highschool!! silly me, i didn't see that.. sorry :(, well hun, you can get away with a more playful vibe when it comes to dressing up for school. short skirts, plaids and frilly dresses are good options. i personally love the long-top-over-leggings look too.
