My fiance may go to YDC =/

Ok, so my fiance got a DUI back in December. A few days ago he was supposed to go to court to find out what they were going to do about it. They told him that the DA would decide what to do with him, Idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Can someone please tell me what I should expect or give me and idea of what to expect??

He didn't go to court he was scheduled for because of his status offenses...

You should talk your fiance into being more responsible. I can't imagine it would be easy living with someone so irresponsible or being engaged to them...Anyway, YDC will try to rehabilitate him and teach him about being more responsible. I don't know if he'll listen to them at all, or how effective they are but it's goal is to try to get kids to not commit those status offenses again. Since, they are illegal. This only applies to minors though. If these delinquent misconducts are repeated a court can decide to place him in a juvenile detention facility.

This all happened before we met. He told me he is trying to change for me, but this past is catching up with him. I try to help him the best I can, and he wants to get help. Thanks =)
