i don't like the idea of bleaching because you could bleach your sking then you'd have a white milk mustash all the time lol

shaving is fine ususally they won't grow that fast

you can pluck but OUCH it hurts

or waxing isn't too bad because it's quick and you can pay a salon to do it for cheap

I usually wax or pluck. I would avoid shaving it bc it may appear darker when it grows back.

ouuuch my sister waxes. and plucking for me is a major pain. i would NOT go with shaving. and haha i agree with barbi about the bleaching lol. i use this nair stuff. i'd totally recommend using it, unless you're allergic to nair of course. ( my sister is) but yeah, i can remember what it's called but it's a nair that specifically says its for facial hair.

works like a charm for me![::p

i say bleach it first and if it donsn't do much then shave it but bleaching is probably your best bet..because some people when they shave it, it grows in darker the second time and it eventually becomes a pain in the buttx(

The best way is different for everyone. What a sucky answer, hey? But it's true. Don't be afraid to try everything!

Chemical depilatories such as those from Nair or Avon may make your skin pink and irritated, even if they're designed for your face, so test in a small area first as directed on the package. I can't use those on my face, personally.

Bleaching can also irritate your skin, even if it's a special formula for facial hair like from Jolen. If you have fair skin, it probably won't make your skin any whiter but it may again give you a little pink mark above your lip that will go away in a few hours. Again, testing is important!

Waxing or plucking? Same problem; possible irritation and perhaps ingrown hairs, even if a professional does it for you. But it does remove the hair from the root so it lasts longer and is a favorite solution for a lot of people, especially if their skin can sand that kind of treatment. I find it too time consuming, myself, and I don't like to wait for the hair to get long enough to wax again.

Trimming or shaving is probably the easiest on your skin. It will not make the hair grow back thicker or darker, but the ends of the hair shaft will be blunt so it will feel prickly. If the hair on your lip is light, trimming may be all you need to do, with one of those little battery powered nose hair or bikini line trimmers. It doesn't get close enough to the skin to irritate it or cause ingrown hairs. If your hair is darker, you may not want to see that shadow of stubble so a close wet shave may work better for you.

Bottom line, don't be afraid to experiment. You'll never know what will work for *you* until you try.

do NOT shave it, it will just grow back faster and thicker. personally i would bleach it then again you could have an allergic reaction to the bleach. most teens have upper lip hair because of hormones (grrr) so it should go away sooner or later :).
