dying my hair?

Okay, so I naturally have strawberry blonde hair, but I dye it dark brown every two months.

Well, I want it like a velvet color, like this.. ->

Is there a hair dye that I can use to get it at least close to that color, without bleaching it?

:) , I ended up using Splat, lol. :) It worked well, too.

Speaking as a hair stylist, there is no possible way to get your hair to that color without bleaching it. Most box colors have metallic dyes, and they will literally sizzle your hair clean off if you put bleach on top of it anyways. My suggestion is to start saving your money and grow your box color out, then go to a professional to get it dyed. It's better for your hair, and you'll be able to change colors more frequently.

As an aspiring cosmetologist, I've learned some things.
There's no possible way for you to get that cherry red color without bleaching your hair first, unfortunately.
I can usually get my hair a really deep, cherry red just by putting a Vampire Red (see attatched photo) dye on top of my natural dark brown hair when I'm too lazy to actually bleach my hair.
I would suggest to either bleach your own hair (I'll attach bleaches that work well) or to go get your hair professionaly bleached and then you can either dye it red yourself or decide to get your hair dresser to do it.
By the way, I think that color would look absolutely ravishing on you. So please, please, please end up doing it and post some pictures.
Good luck (:
Also, the girl who I posted used the Vampire Red hair dye on top of bleached hair and the brand that makes the hair dye and bleach is Manic Panic whom you can find in and beauty store (i.e Sallys). Some Manic Panic products are in Hot Topic as well.

Fail. I posted the same picture twice, obviously. So I'm just going to post all three again. /:

I go to the salon to get the dark brown done. And I want the red just for the summer, so I don't have time to grow it out.
