To get it to be the same colour as the rest of your body, you just need to do deep exfoliating. Kojie San is very good for that, I use it myself and it has evened my skin...but you should only leave it on for about 1-2 minutes (or until tingly ) to absorb into the skin and then wash it off because it's made from kojic acid, which is from fermented rice.

This is a picture of the one I brought. Kojie San's Kojic Acid. It should be orange and smell citrus-like. I brought mines on ebay.

any food item that is acidic is effective at lightening skin. i would suggest using a one to two teaspoons of any type of vinegar (the smell is strong) or using one to two teaspoons of the pure juice of any citrus fruit (lemon, oranges...). a teaspoon or two of whichever item you choose is sufficient. using a lot may cause skin irritation. a mess free way to apply is by using a misting spray bottle. use once or twice a day until you see desired results. no need to wash or rinse off.

Ingredients: Pure All Natural Kojic Acid, Sweet Orange, VCO, Glycerine, Vegetable extracts, Vit. C.
As you can see, it's natural...kojic acide exfoliates, sweet orange gives the scent, vegetable extracts helps it to lather up nicely and vitamin C leaves your skin bright.
