i just CANT SLEEP!

hey everyone...

these couple of days, i couldnt sleep.

i will go to bed at 2am ( i dont feel tried the rest of the day)

and then just sleep for 4 hours.

its six then, then i just lay in bed and maybe if i am lucky can sleep for 2 more hours.

how can i make myself sleep longer??

do i need to see a doctor? ( please not, i hate doctors to death... they scare the hell out of me)

did this also happen to you??

please answer :)

It happens on holidays, when my 'sleeping cycle' is fucked up lol. Maybe you can't sleep because you don't need to; you're not wasting any energy. If you just go running for an hour, believe me you'll be able to sleep a long while at night. Or maybe going dancing or something that makes you tired could work as well. If you do that and you feel exausted but even then can't sleep for more than 4 hours, I'd recommend you to go and see a doctor.

ohh my gosh same here i fall asleep around 2am. and wake up around 7 am. and cant sleep anymore my doctor told me it may be because of stress or something that your thinking about that is keeping you up!!! and here i am 12:30 am and cant go to sleep

well, think about your life now-if you're really stressed out this could be the answer and you should think and try to resolve the thing that is making you feel all stressed out. think why aren't you sleeping-are your thoughts just running wild and you can't stop them even though you're exhausted and ca't keep your eyes opened (this happens to me -.-'')?

but on the other hand, it is summer vacation, right? most likely, you have just screwed up your sleeping habits, or you're not doing anything during the day and there is no thing that tires you so you don't feel tired anough to sleep. my advice is that you spend as much as time on the outside, on the fresh air, excersize, or just walk. believe me, a day on the outside just lightly walking will do wonders to your sleep. (:

the same thing happend to me last night and all i did was get a drink of water and started to read my book and next thing i new i was done 6 books .

i work night shifts so i deal with kind of problem that basically every single day.. even on my days off, i cant seem to get the restful sleep i need.. i've started taking melatonin pills and they've kinda helped but i'm careful not to become dependent on it. some foods that contain an amino acid called tryptophan such as milk, bananas and oatmeal can also trigger drowsiness. one more thing, make sure your room is conducive to sleeping--darkened, quiet and clutter-free. if all else fails, talk to a doc.. everybody's right, it could be stress.

as for me, i'm seriously contemplating on getting another job. nothing beats dozing off when our bodies are made to do so--at night!
