To be frank, you will have to cut off all the damaged ends, or else it'll get worse, and the longer you wait to cut it off, the worse it'll get. Afterwards, you can look towards repairing it, deep conditioning and low maintenance will help it to grow back...if you want you can look through longhaircare (the forum) just google it , and search for information that could further help you. My hair is permed and not natural, so I have no other suggestion other than this. )=

Unfortunately, you are gonna have to get your hair trimmed because just like silence_ said, It'll get worse. Besides your hair will grow out healthier once you get rid of the split ends. When I got my haircut, it grew pretty fast. (Like in a week or two). Btw, you can always sleep overnight with your hair in a ponytail because it keeps your hair in place so it can grow out easier. :)

Inevidably, you have to trim. Ask your hairdresser how short she thinks you need to go. If your ends are really bad, try not to negotiate this length. Your hair will grow back in a few months. For the time being, try side braids, top knots, and other hairdos that will hide your puffy hair by pulling it all into a hairtye--but will still be very fashionable :)

once hair is split it can never be fixed. trimming is really the solution. if you dont want your hair to get too short yet then wait a little while till your hair grows longer.
