i'm embarrassed to exercise by myself or with my parents...

i think i'm a bit... overweight. i'm trying to hide that from all my friends and my parents, but i really want to exercise but i dont want my parents and my friends to think that i'm overweight. what should i do?

exercising is good weather your a teenie tinie size 8 or a size 18! :) you shouldnt be embaressed, nobodys going to think your over weight cause your exercising. if you want to just do it on your own, buy a few small at home gym work out dvd's or you could join your local gym, and go down there when you wanted on your own, although there will be other people there.

what you need to remember is that even if you are over weight, by exercising people see your doing something about it, and they are proud of you for it, your friends arent going to think "omg shes exercising shes so fat" they are gonna think "wow she's been exercising and she looks even better than before" :) xxxx

gbpkid is probably right,

exercise is something you'll always have to do, either you do it to loose weight or just to be active and healthy its something you'll just always have to do!

i only go cycling and excersize at school (p.e) but you should actually really try doing excersize if you are un-happy with your self but even if you do dancing that helps alot or eat healthly and just either jog/run or walk alot it won't hurt and it helps if you have someone doing it with you hope i helped ! :)

yeah, even if your as skinny as a twig, you will still need to do SOME exercise, so don't be embarrasses, everyone will have done exercise in their lifetime, so there is nothing to be ashamed of, remeber 'every little counts' - so even if it's the smallest things that you do, it will soon add up, and you will notice and feel the difference in no timee!(:

i agree exersize is good no matter how old or how wide, but uh yea i dnt like to exersize were pple can see me n stuff so wat i decided to do is exersize in my room wit some good music. youtube helped me decide wat kind of workout rutine to use n stuffb-)

I don't believe you will make your parents or friends think you are overweight.

But, what I did to exercise was that I joined volleyball , soccer, and track. Then you will not be embarrassed and you are working out with other students your age. So you won't feel wierd working out at home and you can be more motivated with other students around you.

it doesn't automaticly mean your overweight



so really don't worry about it and start walking or jogging and it's always safer to do it with someone just incase

ohkay ive been thinkin bout yer question 4 awhile and i think ive figured out a solution... !st get a work out buddy its always a good way to stay motivated ... go out 2gether and buy some workout dvd's yew both like then find a place and time yew can be alone call yer workout buddy and yew guys can do it 2gether but at yer own homes...idk if this helps jus a crazy idea:p

i exericise and i am not even over wieght people exerice everyday to be and stay healthy and it is good for the body and makes people happy it doesnt mean you are losing wieght.
