Do you think being pretty is just a matter of standing out? In facial structure, eye color, style...

Just wondering. I was thinking about it the other day and the only thing I could think that made some people pretty and some people plain was that the pretty people have some kind of feature that not everyone has... you think this is true? Im not talking about myself. Im fine the way I am, I wasnt asking this question to make people believe Im not comfortable with who I am. Im just getting the perspectives of other people on beauty because its something I know nothing about this day in age.

anything that makes you stand out from the crowd is going to get you noticed, that's y everyone likes the class clown

something that's well put together and pleasing to the eye ofcourse is going to draw attention

then, what exactly is "pleasing to the eye?"

i'm just getting some people to think here.

ha well i dont think im 'pretty' im average i guess, but as you say i do wear clothes that stand out, they aren't bright or colourful but the way i wear them makes them different from everyone else... Most girls from ages 13-17 (at my school) have fake blonde hair and show cleavage 'cause guys like that, there is to get. But there are some guys that like girls who aren't, not be mean, slutty. Wear things that suit you, not to make up keep it simple(seriously don't buy red or pink lipstick) keep it b\in blend with your skin colour. BTW my guy-friend is telling me to write this... so yeah

you dont always have to have a something special. i believe it's all in the presentation. a plain person can easily go to a pretty person by changing the wrapping. beuaty is in the eye of the beholder, so what's pretty to one person may not be to someone else. some like dimples while others may think that freckles are pretty. as long as the person ur with likes what you have to offer and there is no reason for you to change, i say you have hit the jackpot.

i guess it depends on personal opinion even if its true that certain features are universally attractive and others are universally unattractive. but everyone can become pretty with the right clothes, accessories, and in some cases exercise, diets or cosmetic sugery.

I think being beautiful is someone's confidence when they just walk into the room along with personality. Because someone that is just physically atrractive can have the worst personality and I will look and think they are such an ugly person.

to me finding someone pretty is a matter of opinion.

lets say that on guy found me pretty, another guy could find me ugly.

Its really a person's opinion and what that person finds attractive.

tandomizi says:

but what makes you stand out from the crowd could cause you to be found ugly or pretty.

again, it depends on what other's find pretty.

To everyone's answers so far...

Doesn't that kind of contradict all the questions on here? Everyone's like "I need some new makeup to make me pretty" and asking people to rate their best pictures but you've all just basically told me yourself that its the confidence level and all matters of opinion and whatnot.

Strange how the mind works, eh?
