Here are some reviews for there straighteners.

Positive:

These Remington Protect and Shine hair straighteners are quite impressive. I actually bought them because I was in a shop looking at the countless different types of straighteners and a lady came up to me and said she was a hairdresser and that those straightening irons were superb.

They're teflon coated and glide really easily over your hair. I love the multiple heat settings dial as you can put it on super hot when you're in a rush or on a gentler setting if you have more time! Great thing is, because of the heat settings it's perfect for fine or very coarse hair. (My hair is really wiry and it works a treat on it!)

It heats up amazingly quickly ... less than a minute I'd say, and I love the sleek design as you can easily take it on holiday with you or keep in in a cluttered draw with no problem!

On the negative side... ahem, I've had these for over a year but my boyfriend stood on them and they hinge snapped... they are currently being held together with an elastic band (but they still work great!) so... perhaps not for the accident prone.

Oh... and BE CAREFUL of the heat settings... because they go to an immense heat which can burn you a treat! (luckily the sleek design of it makes it pretty difficult to burn yourself !)

Once I get enough money, I'm buying the exact same straighteners again - by far the best I've ever owned!

sorry heres the negative:

As I have been reading, there are many people who seem to enjoy there Remington Straightners. I regret that I will have to disagree completely. There are some disadvantages and some advantages to this product.

also here is the website where i got the information. you can make up your mind by reading the rest

http://www.ciao.co.uk/Remington_S2012__Review_5651590Some of the advantages and disadvantages were:

After heating the hair using the product the hair does appear to be sleek and soft for approx 30 mins. However after this time the hair then becomes frizzy and wiry. This was a disadvantage, and I really hated having to straighten my hair all over again.

Another disadvantage was the handle becomes too hot, the instructions do advise not to use them as often within the same period of time. However if they done the job properly I wouldn’t have to!

A good advantage to the straightens were the 3m swivel cable they came with, there is nothing worse then straightening your hair in a difficult position because the cable is not long enough to reach. Another good quality about this product was the heat changing options. Most straightens that I come across don’t have this, and it was easy to change the heat options.

Altogether I would rate this product 6/10. The straightners leave the hair frizzy, which is never desirable.
