I dont have it but hun, if its really bothering you than just get up and do it. There is no need to be embarrassed about it, thats pretty much like getting embarrassed about having your period, stuff happens, and sometimes you just gotta deal with it. TELL YOUR MOM! She can get you some help, dont be afraid, your mom is not only your mom but shes your best friend, whether you know it or not :]

The best thing to do would be just to man up and tell your mother. You might be embarrassed, but the only way you're going to solve your problem is to tell her, and you'll feel much better once you have. good luck!

my lil sister and my daughter have extra hair on their backs and i even get a few hair on my lower stomach

it really can be genetic and you may not have a huge case of hirsutism. talk to your mom but sometimes when we hit puberty it can make hairs start to grow darker in places we would think aren't right but a few are normal i have a friend who's back is completely covered in hair (it's not like a guys thick and curly it's just like most ppl's white/clear hairs but dark)

she has it on her stomach and chest too and she's not afraid to wear lil tops because her dad is one of those darker ppl where it's normal for the ladies to have more hair

unless you start to grow a beard i wouldn't worry. as i said talk to your mom, go ahead and shave if you're really uncomfortable. but i'm sure you're just going through some 'life changes'

There are a lot of options open to you if you want to start disguising or removing it. It certainly helps to tell a family member or a friend if you feel embarrassed buying some of the products yourself, like facial hair bleach. (I was!) They can be a great support, as well, because it can be difficult worrying about that extra hair 24-7.

Even if you decide just to get rid of it in one way or another, eventually you'll want to know *why* it's there. Sometimes it's genetic, sometimes it's an oversensitivity to certain hormones, and rarely it's a symptom of other conditions. If you can find out the cause, it can make your hair removal decisions a lot easier and takes a load off your mind! So absolutely, go talk to your doctor, they're the experts! Don't be afraid, they've probably seen everything.

I was in high school when hirsutism hit. I'm still dealing with it. I've tried a few different things and I detail them in a blog in case they might help others. So if you want more detail on the options open to you, I might be able to help further here:
