I am a self-employed photographer, married to a gorgeous red-headed engineer. I am a lover of coffee and all things vintage, and I love, love, LOVE haut couture. I love baking, decorating, and making jewelry. I love Vanity Fair and Vogue. I love Project Runway, What Not to Wear, and How Do I Look? I am a sucker for Forever21, Armani, Givenchy, Chanel, and Bettsy Johnson. Can I most of them? Nope. But I love it! I admire the styles of Audrey Hepburn, Selma Blair, Scarlett Johanssen, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
I have always been the girl next door, the tomboy with all the guy friends. I didn't think I would marry til I was in my thirties, but thankfully God brought me my prince charming in the middle of college. I live in a small town in the Southwest, which I love. I feel like I don't fit in comfort and casual is the usual attire around here. It's kind of a bummer because I don't have a reason, as it were, to dress up (except for church, and i take total appropriate advantage!)
Since I've started this wedding photography business, it has helped me to identify my style in career, aesthetic, and personality...and it has opened up doors for me to dress edgy and professional, and has enabled me in a lot of ways to be self-confident. I have always had unusual perspectives on fashion, and I try to avoid what's IN.
I feel that true style comes from within, is part of the makeup of who one is inside. It may take from other perspectives, but it is totally unique. What i like is edgy, classy, tailored, vintage, baroque, and minimal. I am artsy to the core, and I love I love thrift-stores and hand-me-downs (I rarely buy anything full-price)! I don't have much money, and I don't pretend to, and I think that has forced me to get creative with my attire.
So this is me in a nutshell. I'm excited to try and be cool with people on here :) Let's be friends!
