Can you really lose weight by drinking icy water?

I have read it in numerous articles. I could use this trick during the summer. What do you think should I experiment with quick ways to lose weight or I should opt for a well-defined diet? Thanks for the answer.

Quick ways to lose weight are never good. In fact, in the long run you'll either gain all the weight back or be miserable and ill. All I know is that your body holds water weight. I think that drinking water would add to the water weight, but as quickly as the water weight builds up in your body it also gets off. So in this diet, you aren't actually losing extra fat, you're simply losing water weight. (This also happens when you sweat) A well defined diet/workout should be good for losing weight.

I'm not sure if it does, but even if it does trust me, it is NOT a quick way! This would actually take a long time to do anything but you should be drinking lots of water anyway so it can never hurt!
