Do I have what it takes to model?

I really want to start modeling but I think I'm not pretty enough. I'm 12 years old, 5'6, but my expected height is 5'7-5'9. It's very likely I'll grow at least another inch. I also think I'm too short and chubby. I'm 105 pounds, my measurements are 34-24-34. I realize I'm young but I'm determined and I understand modeling also means you need the "look", you need to be flexible (like with what and where you do your photo shoots), professional, and photogenic. I uploaded some pictures. I only plan to do print and/or commercial, but I'm not super interested in runway. But do you think I have what it takes?

I'm 13 and I plan on becoming a runway model/commercial model and I think you are pretty enough but you have to be at least 5'9" to become a model and also you should be able to keep your body fit for as long as you are a model.

I can't tell you whether you have what it takes or not. I don't know how well you are able to pose , I don't see a full body picture or a side picture (which is usually what is asked for). My suggestion is that you work on your portfolio. Having a portfolio is the best way to figure out if you have what it takes, but you're still young that most places won't take you and you'd have to get parental permission to do an actual TFP/TFCD photoshoot. Your face is not too developed either because there are no angles to it, it's very round. As you are right now, there is nothing about your face that stands out, you just have a naturally pretty/cute face. So for now, continue taking care of your skin, body , and health. When you get to age 15/16 then I would recommend you getting a model mayhem account, Put in your intro photos in high quality (frontal photo in normal light, side /profile photo, and full length photo ). Find out photographers in your area and be humble when asking if they do TFP/TFCD (time for print/time for cd) where you don't get paid, you get to help them practice their shooting, while getting the photoshoot print or cd in return to add to your portfolio. With a strong enough portfolio you could consider doing freelance print/commercial modelling or get signed onto an agency. What it takes to be a model has more to do with the connections you have and the professionalism you can keep. A better camera will help, I suggest you visit a few fashion blogs, to see the types of photos and the quality of the photos. The better the quality the more professional it looks, the better your portfolio will look, etc. Good luck.

Well I appreciate your feedback, but I recently searched up average model statistics, and runway models are 5'9", as you said, but a majority of the modeling agencies requirements are 5'8" and above (women). So yes, runway models are generally 5'9" and over, but print and catalog is generally 5'8" and above. I will definitely be 5'7" AT LEAST, but my most expected height is 5'8", so I might have a chance. :) GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CAREER :)
