Hi, I'm Briana. Don't really know what to say about myself, haha. Umm, I'm kind of a nerd, but a cool nerd! I love music and books and most definitely animals.

How can I achieve the 40's pin-up make-up look with my complection?

For Prom, I got a black satin gretta dress and I wanted to go with the whole 40's pin-up theme, including hair, make-up, etc. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips/ideas on how I can get that look and which cosmetics to use. Any input would be much obliged!

Use matte make-up. No shine or shimmer. They didn't use that back then. Use a little pink blush on your cheeks but more in the hallows and less on the apples. black liquid eyeliner on top with a small amount of black pencil on bottom. a light shade of champagne with a light sweep of charcoal across your lids. False eyelashes would probably be best but if not just use a good mascara. Lips are also really important, I would use a brick red lipstick with your complection. maybe darken in your brows as bold eyebrows were popular back then.
