while the majority of hair perms may work out okaaaay, there are several proven reasons that history has shown, why hair perms can go bad.

these include the following reasons:

-wrong sized rollers are used on the hair,

-incorrect hair tension is applied to the rollers that are used,

-inappropriate timing on the perm solution with the solution being left on too long or not long enough,

-perm solution is not completely rinsed from hair.

the most common reasons for perms going bad include rolling the curlers too tightly, applying excessive perm solution and using the incorrect development lotion.

regardless of the condition of the hair before the perm and the skill of the hairdresser applying the perming solution, damage to the hair is a guarantee. anytime you apply a chemical application of any sort to your stands, damage is a given.

instead of getting a perm you could use 'ken daves hairdo clip-in hair extensions'. and you can do whatever you want with them, they also come in many different legnths and colours. :]

depends on your hair texture =x

like perm can make straight hair curly, and curly tight nappy hair (which is what nappy hair is essentially) straight. But i do know, it involves chemicals, and anything with chemical can potentially damage your hair if the correct precautions. That being said, if you deep condition, shampoo, and keep up good care of your hair it should be fine, but on virgin perms (never before permed hair) you'll notice some change in your hair. Not to mention potential burning of the scalp which is BAD BAD BAD!! and could potentially cause hair loss D:

that being said. i have my hair permed. my hair was nappy and whatnot but none of it has fallen out and it's getting healthier since i was oblivious to taking care of my hair before this year D: . I use an olive oil perm, and moved from anything containing harsh chemicals, so i'd suggest you look for one not containing chems.

the same effect will incur if your hair is straight i presume. It won't fall out if you keep taking care of it, but be lazy for a weak and not wash or something and BAM, little follicles are sayin' BYE BYE BYE T^T lol xD

anywayzzzzz, good luck =D

if u dont ndo it alot then its fine but if you contenuosly permm it, it will eventually damage your hair to the point is that it starts too fall out

My friend got a perm and her hair keeps falling out.

It started falling out like a week later.

Also, I've heard it damages the hair a lot.

it's always good to get someone who's done it before or someone at a salon

if you leave it on too long you can damage your hair. but if you do it right you'll be just fine

and omg it takes a while to figure out what your saying if you want more people to give you anwsers i would at the least try to spell close to the word instead of text/chat typing

it's a lil funny though sorry i don't care i won't mention it again but thought i'd just toss that out there
