Underactive Thyroid?

What are the symptoms? I think I might have one because my mom has it and I have some of the symptoms but I want to be sure. So anymore symptoms you can list? I don't want to get tested and be negative and feel like an idiot.

okay, 'amaay', thats not completely right. i have an under-active thyroid and none of these were any symptoms i ever had:

-rapid weight loss,

-high heart rate,

-high blood pressure,

you dont LOOSE weight when you have an under-active thyroid, you GAIN it. my heart rate and blood pressure have always been fine, and i think i've had diarrhea a total of maybe 7 or 8 times in my life.

so, what i'm getting at, is that when you have an under-active thyroid, you tend to be a bit heavier, you don't sleep good, you may have bad-ish eye sight, you're a bit more emotional about things, and you might have problems breathing when running(but that also might just be the weight thing)

(this is me before i got on my thyroid medication and after i got on my thyroid medication....she the difference in weight? it may not be much, but it's there)
