Best way to lose weight effectively?

Okay, I am 14 years old and well, I weigh over 150 pounds. I really want to get into shape this summer before marching band starts and before i start high school. What are some really good ways I can lose weight effectively. I am a vegatarian by choice and I have been for a year, so we have to work around that. Are there any vitamins that might help? It has to be a vitamin not a weight loss pill otherwise i wont take it and my mom wont buy it. thanks :]

i know eating healty helps but really which type of vegitarian are you do you still drink milk and eat eggs?



i would say those are some great things to help keep someone with a good sourse of calcium and protin



and working out for 30mins a day 3days a week is all you need to keep you burning fat



stick to things like running and jogging. if you want to do any weight things go for high repitition low weight. you can do sit ups and side bends and leg lifts as well

Reduce your calories to about 1500 calories a day. and walk through the local park trails 6 days a week. you'd be suprized how fast it comes off if you're helping yourself.

excercise for about 30-45 minutess everyday and you should start to see a difference. :]

I agree, healthy eating and regular exercise are probably best. Stay away from any heavy weight lifting while you're still young, it's easier to do damage to your body before you're eighteen.



Drinking the recommended amount of water a day can make some amazing changes for peoples' bodies, as well, from skin to metabolism and appetite.



I should add, though, that in junior high I was overweight. While exercise helped somewhat, I never saw amazing results. Then, I hit eighteen in college and suddenly I noticed I was healthy weight, without changing my lifestyle. Several friends have experienced the same. Sometimes time will help even things out, so keep that in mind.

run. thats what i do. i run 3 and a half miles every other day. if you have time. do it. its a great way to burn calories and still eat what you want. bring some music too. that makes it fun. good luck...
