my hair...

i've been growing out my hair for about a year and its right in between my shoulder blades. however the whole point of me growing out my hair was so i could have it be long and curly, but now the curl's pulled down by the length...

i really dont know what to do with it. i'd like to keep some of the legnth but i dont know, what do you all think? i do have long layers by the way.

I had the same prblem and all i did was got it layered! It keeps the length while lightening your hair. Plus your curls will curl better!

i say get your hair layered so then you can have some style while growing out your hair.

I've curly hair, and here are some tips to make yours curly too:

1. DON'T comb it. Really, curls are fragile when they're natural, and you just comb them away. Comb hair before washing it :)

2. DO get some layers, they will help to keep hair more bouncy

3. DO (but be aware it's bad for your hair) wash your hair, do not dry it yet at all, put some mouse on your hands and make it thorough, then let your head down so the hair would hang and take them into your hands and put them to your scalp and then let go and reapeat while blowdrying them. Do it until they are completely dry. This works really well, BUT it damages hair.

Good look getting curly :)

get a cut that is specifically for curly hair... strageically placed layers really helps :)
