I am 13. Is it alright to wear contacts, because my mom says it ruins my natural look .

How do I apply it? And how do I convince my father?

IDEA: Make a deal with them that you'll get straight A's.(can be hard at times. & long D:)?

Or say you'll do something like mow the lawn/wash dishes for a year?

idk, that's all I got.

But make sure that if you DO buy them, buy froma good NAME brand, because if you get cheap nasty ones, yiy can ruin your eyes.

do you want colored contacts?

they're basicly just like makeup you do it to enhance yourself and add a new look. you don't have to wear them all the time and they just give you more options

if you have glasses and want to wear contacts it'll actually let your true self show through w/o being hidden by the glasses

they're easy to put in and the eye dr will show you how and he won' tlet you leave till you get them in yourself

well, it is alright, I don't see why would it be a problem? so, you're 13 but I don't see the problem. if you're talking about contacts if you're blind as a freakin bat (LIKE ME :D hahaha) then sure, go for it, it really enhances your actual face because glasses hide you. like, a lot.

and if you talking about usual colored lenses then it could look nice but be careful to pick the right color, something you will actually wear often. and they can really bring some new depth on your eyes.

but also, be extremely cautios-don't EVER buy any cheap lenses or via e-bay, or some cheap chinese, korean or something like that lenses. why not? well, first of all, they're cheap-they're not goo. they could be too hard and youwont be able to wear them (in the best case). but they are also dirty. they cause eye infections. eye infections can make you slowly lose your sight or even go completely blind. so don't fool around with those cheap lenses. take your mother, see a oftalmologyst and he'll see if you could wear them at all (some people can't wear lenses at all). and if you can, then he will see if your eyes are accepting soft, semi-hard or hard lenses. hard ones last for 1 yr and they are the cheapest but they are also most uncomfortable to wear. semihard last for 6 months and the soft ones are clearly the best (You can barely feel them) but also the most expensive cause they last just 3 months. (but you don't get to pick which one you want. your eyes pick them.) and you will probably have to use ''tears from the bottle''. lenses dry your eyes out and can easily get tired and red. that's why fake tears are for. and be careful with cleaning them. don't ever let them get in touch with the water, water is filthy, they have their special fluid which you use for cleaning them.

this isn't an easy task but if you're ready to take care of your lenses, then go for it.
