Temporary color is the best. Search for it online. Just put it in your hair, and when you're done it washes out.

By streaks I suppose you mean bleaching some highlights into your hair? If you do that, your natural hair colour has been destroyed in those places...bleach does not wash out.

Since you already have brown hair, f you use a weak temp dye, you should be able to go to chocolate brown and it would wash out after a month or so (if the dye isn't too strong).

So if you really can't decide, why not go with dying it a bit darker first? If you don't like it, it will go away by itself and you can still get highlights then.

Or you get highlights and if you don't like them you dye everything darker...but then you will still have highlights, just in a different colour. The results might not be as predictable as with doing it the other way around!
