How can I get my hair to grow back?

Okay, here's my problem. I had really super long hair. Then after having my wonderful son I decided he deserved all the possible time I could give him. So i went in to get my hair cut just above should length into a bob type thing with cute layers. And well I should have followed my gut and went to a more exspensive place. BUT ANYWAYS the girl who cut my hair gave my an inverted bob to where she even shaved my neck hairs!!! It's super short and it's been about 2 months and I still think it's just to short I hate it. Even my hubby talks about how pretty I WAS with long hair. I know how rude. He doesn;t say my short hair looks bad he just misses my long hair. And I'm not going to argue because I miss it to. But wow, I just miss my hair! Can anyone help... I don't want extentions and personally I think my hair is even to short for them UGHHH.

my goodness! you have such a beautiful face it won't matter if you have short or long hair! really though, the most you can do is to wait for it to grow back. For the meantime, you can play it up a little like putting in some curls or pin back sections from the front. i dunno if shampoos that claim to make hair grow faster actually work.

i had a cut like that in highschool i kept it until i graduated and i have only gotten trims since maybe up to just below my collar bone. after about a year it was already down past my sholders.

i keep my hair in a loose ponytail all day so it stimulates the follicles and i massage my head with my nails in the shower when i shampoo and condition. i can say that now it grows about an inch each month.

but i think your hair is cute shorter cuts are cute but longer hair makes you look more mature. so use the cuteness and just keep your goal in mind lol you'll get it back

I read this in a health magazine that if you want to speed up hair growth you lift your hair up by the root , lightly hold for 5 seconds & repeat thoughout your whole head , it feels relaxing too.. do this everyday.

Multi-vitamins prevent brakage thus growing longer healthyer hair

Vitamin e tablets .

A few trims every once in awhile , just don't over do it

head massages

Eating healthy & drinking tons of water

I am really sorry for you. I have really long hair myself (my profile picture is old), and I have myself thought about cutting it shorter, into like a long bobcut. I would DIE if the hair stylist messed it up. Anyway, this site has alot of really good articles about hair, skin and alot of other beauty stuff. Here's the link to a couple about hair growth and how to deal with a bad haircut.

i think you suit short hair but since you really want long hair, i'll give you some advice:

give yourslef a weekly 10 minute scalp massage to increase blood flow and promote growth

get regular trims every 6-8 weeks to take off all the ends.

eat your vitamins.

use a shampoo and conditioner loaded with vitamins A, B, C, and E and minerals such as zinc and iron.

dandruff flakes block your follicles, preventing hair from growing easily. A copper-bristled brush helps you get rid of bacteria that causes dandruff, while a shampoo conaing zinc keeps follicles healthy and clear so hair can grow.

use a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of product build-up.

don't wash your hair everyday.
