there are 2 options

sun worshiping is also when people tan ALOT like the people who have leather for skin who ALWAYS want to be tanning instead of anything else

the other are the people who believe the sun is a 'god' it's self. they don't think the sun is the christian god they feel that the sun in a god and usually there are many gods to them like a god in the earth and one in charge of love and war.

Oh wait xD I don't think that answered your question.

Okay. Sun worship. There's been many people throughout history who have done this. Have you learned about the Aztecs? They believed that their god sacrificed himself, and then reincarnated into the sun to maintain human life. But he couldn't move across the sky, so the other gods sacrified themselves to help him move across the sky throughout the day. The Aztecs believed that in order to keep the gods alive, they had to make human sacrifices - they sacrificed hundreds, if not thousands, of people a day and they believed it to be an honour to be a sacrifice to their gods.

Also, in Roman and Greek mythology, they had sun gods who were worshipped.

Wiccans worship nature, it's actually quite fascinating and it's a beautiful 'religion' (I guess you could call it that...) but at the same time, I believe that there is only one God to be worshipped - and that's Adonai.

Honestly, throughout history, religion has really been just a way for people to explain what they don't understand. Think of the Native Americans. They made up tales and stories about warriors who died and became falling stars in the sky. That was their way of explaining things they didn't have answers for.

Hope I helped, love :)

You can't believe everything you see on the internet!! There's so much crap out there.

There's even this guy on youtube who has his own show, all he does is sit around and talk about how Jesus is a joke, and a LOT of awful things that MANY people, Christian or not, would definitely consider offensive.

Everyone chooses to believe what they want to believe - but when it comes down to it, it doesn't matter what you WANT to believe.. just because you WANT to believe something, or like the idea of something, doesn't mean it's truth.

Personally, I believe in Jesus too. (: I hate religion, and I have a RELATIONSHIP with God. No stupid nonsense about this and that.

I am not one of those people who will push my beliefs on you, but I will share and express my opinions and beliefs. :)

You can find SIMPLE, small proofs of God in life... think about the Jews. God made a promise to them that they would never be wiped off the Earth, that they would never be completely destroyed. God stayed true to that promise, and still has. Think of all the people who have tried to wipe out the Jews... one of the more famous ones being HITLER. Yet the Jewish people are still alive, and though they do suffer, God has kept His promise to them.

And now, the war between Iraq and Israel. God will not allow all the Jews to be wiped out, you can count on that!

Anyway... I just thought that was interesting. (: I think you said you were... Catholic, right? In another question, I THINK you said you were... I don't remember. Anyway, talk to some people in your church, or even a trusted person you know who can help you build a foundation in your faith so you won't ever have doubts. :)
