Tips for Using Eye Liner

okay so, i like using a pencil eye liner (not liquid) and i try to apply it my lash lines...but i find it slightly hard to do....and my left eye is soooo much easier to do (i have 80/20 vision) there a way to improve my make up applying skills?

you can take a business card and close your eyes so the card touches your eye skin near the base of the lashes and press down against the card, this will give you a flatter straighter line to follow

i love using automatic pencils, there's no sharpening they go on smooth and they do come in waterproof. marker liners are cool too

i used to suck at putting on eyeliner too, but all it really took was some practice. you can also try drawing disconnected lines(if you're problem is mainly not getting it evenly done) then smudge on an outward direction. just be sure though, you use the kind of pencil that goes on dark, to begin with.

Don't try to draw you line in just one movement (especially if you have shaky hands, like I do). Start at the middle of your lash line, and draw outwards, with small confident strokes. Then go to the corner of your eye and do small strokes until you reach the middle section.

It should work just as well drawing a line with many small strokes creating the line, and better than drawing the line in just one movement, as it can wobble and look very strange. This way you have control over your line and the line shape, and it will hopefully look better.

Also, always make sue your pencil is sharpened (seriously, you can even use a regular pencil sharpener to sharpen your eyeliner, as long as it isn't a really bad quality plasticy one.

If you really suck try using a stiff eyeshadow brush and black eyeshadow. Smudge the shadow into your lashes to create a template for your liner, then simply fill in the liner on top on the shadow
