is/was it worth it??

okay, so i just got a george foreman grill...and i want to know if it's actually worth it....the cooking area is about the size of 8x11 paper kind of, has three settings (no auto off timer) and it has changeable plates for making waffles, grill/griddle, and cost $100 with taxes (canadian)...

was it worth it????

It's worth it if you plan on using it more than once a month. We had one and we just ended up getting rid of it because at first it's like "OMG NEW TOY MUST PLAY WITH IT" and then you use it once a week, once a month, once every four and then you just don' least that's how it was for us

you can cook hamburgers or stakes

when we do hamburgers we close it and for stakes we leave it open some (cause we like it medium not well done)

i would also say get some seasoning for your meats ( down here we use Dales for the stakes and i love using taco seasoning on my burgers)

you can also use it for grilled cheese and you don't have to put butter on the bread. just put a few slices of deli type meat, a piece of cheese in the middle of the bread then close it up in the grill, but keep an eye on it or the cheese may start to melt out lol

i know you can do chicken on it but i prefer to chop mine up into lil squares and do them in the frying pan, or bake them (425degrees for 25mins)

also don't get the stake or hamburgers too thick it's harder to cook them properly

hmm well, if you get to use it often and saves you a lot of time on preparing meals/snacks, then yeah it's worth every penny.
