if you adopt dogs from shelters...what happens to the puppies from breeders?

i'm just wondering because ppl say if you buy from a breeder, you're not giving a chance to sheltered dogs...but what about those puppies? if you adopt from a shelter, you're not giving those puppies a chance either? is it a no win situation??

lol you think alot

my mom is a breeder and i work with shelters i will say for every dog that gets adopted there is one that will be bought as a puppy. so i wouldn't worry about them. the breeder puppies will start going for less and more people tend to want pure breeds anyway so they're fine. it's all about a personal choice and half of people have a good reason to adopt and the other have good reasons to buy

Think of it this way, a puppy from a shelter already had a chance once but someone gave it away. It has no home, a will potentially be euthinized. But at a breeder no matter what someone will buy the puppy, they will keep taking it to different stores until it is bought.

In my opinion(being an animal rights activist) it's better to adopt from a shelter, some dogs at pet stores and breeders come from puppy mills and are likely to have behavioral problems and you might end up giving it away...
