haven\'t worn earrings in like 2-3 years...still getting infected????

okay so i had my ears pierced twice in each ear, both on the lobe, and i haven't worn earrings in about 3 years and i still get like a ball where it was pierced and i always like push on it to 'burst' it and that part will like scab and bleed for weeks....why is this happening? should i see a doctor about it?? i got the piercings done at a clinic so it shouldn't be because of that...but it's gett annoying because my ears generally hurt when this happens

that lump might be a just a piercing pimple, I get it a lot with my old and new ear piercings. I don't think it's an infection. Sometimes the pimple hurts but that's probably normal. It's best to keep the scars clean so it won't get infected. I can't quite answer why it happens.

But if it gets worst than it looks you should see a doctor about it.

i've had a bump like that in my ear and i just leave it alone and it goes away after a few weeks

when it happens if it's not bothering you you can leave it be

or if you pop it makesure you follow up with alcholo to keep the area clean and from really getting infected.

an infection from a piercing will make the area red and then can be greenish if it's really bad

and ball under the skin there really can be a pimple inside the hole because once it's pierced it's got skin that coveres the area now and anywhere there's skin there are pores and if some dirt gets in there yes it can make a normal pimple.

maybe add the alcholo thing to your normal routine (you can use witch hazel as well and it doesn't burn if there's a sore) just dab it on your lobes before you go to bed at night

at first you should put in your ears medical earrings for about 3 months then you take them off and start wearing whatever earings you want but if at first you wear any earring this will cause bleeding which means you ear is infected !

That lump that you are pushing through is the infected tissue that had healed before. That's why when you push through it there is puss and blood. Warm cloth with salt on it does wonders. Never go to Claires to get your ears pierced unless you don't have sensitivity, which you still shouldn't go there. Using a gun to get piercings is one of the least sanitary options to go to.
