belly dancing workout

i have a video off youtube, and i was wondering if belly dancing is actually good workout. and if it is, what does it all 'work'?

its going to work your abs (obviously) your legs (secondary) mostly for stability, and your hips so also your butt. it all depends on how hard you work and if you feel a slight burn and stay dedicated. you may wanna check out some other hip exercises and lower body pilates to increase your stability and flexibility.

you also have to keep in mind what a belly dancer looks like they are soft and feminine there are a very few that are 'sculped' so you'll stay fit and healty but you'll probly still have some chub but most guys like a lil shape to their women

the shape is boyfriend doesn't want me to change certain areas even though i want to. he doesn't like stick thin girls (not that there's anything wrong with them, they're just not his type), i just want to be a bit more toned and not so chubby.....i use to have an almost completely flat stomach and i was in love with it, although you could see my hips all the time and if i raised my arms above my head, my ribs would stick out about an inch at least. that part wasn't attractive (even i thought so) but i miss the flat stomach.
