a question for curly hair

okay so i have curly hair and it's finally long again but i have the same problem as before....when i style my hair (with mousse) the top is nicely curled...but the hair on the bottom (like the bottom layer) is flattish and frizzy.....is there anyway to get the bottom layer to be curled? i would prefer to not have layers....i tried that and it didn't really work. i always thought it was the weight of the top hair that made it like that...

i would think perhaps the longer ends are maybe damaged?

that would cause frizzy ness

maybe trying some hot oil treatments? have you noticed any split ends? that would be an indication of damage

also dove intensive care shampoo and conditoner is good for this

use a curl enhancing cream thing in ur hair. wash it with shampoo and conditioner made for curly hair. maybe get some stronger mousse and use a little hairspray? mine is very curly on the bottom and flat and frizzy on top but i use gel or putty with hairspray so maybe give that a try?

the longer ends are probably damaged, so i would cut your hair an inch or two, to make it springy and healthy!! haha, curl enhancing creme is good, and long layers are good for curly hair, but i can see why you dont want them, for frizz, the right mousse/gel makes the bestestest difference haha, and its probably damaged to, so stay away from flat irons/curling irons/blowdrys, so yahh, haha, oh and leave in conditioner is also good!! and paul mitchels curl sculpting creme works very well, and its not THAT expensive so yah hoope i hellped -JULIe

I myself have REALLY curly hair. hahah i have this problem sometimes. it depends on the product you use honestly. i think.

I use treseme hair definition. for bouncy curls. its VERY nice. and i also watched something on tv about how you put your curly hair in cold water. to make it curlier and less frizzy. remember to scrunch your hair. always do that. or you could just not towel dry your hair when you get out of the shower and just put product on it and scruntch
