my mom has cut out high fructose corn syrup

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/high-fructose-corn-syrup/AN01588

i haven't cut it out but i have limited my intake. even the commercials said it's fine 'in moderation' but check your snacks and drinks how much do you think you intake a day?

i heard i can help you to not feel full (not know when you are full) and can cause liver damage. my mom said she feels so much better now and she just happened to have a piece of gum recently that had some (she didn't know) and she started snacking w/o even realizing it. so she stopped that again.

strange... lol but yea i would suggest like the commercial said from the plant.... take it in moderation try not to overdue it. it may not be the only cause for obesity but from everything i've read it's not helping the situation.

it's just like ANYTHING..

most things are fine in moderation but it's when you have too much that they become a problem.. like sunlight.. it's good to be slightly tanned but too much sun is never good, same with candy and sweets and high fructose corn syrup!!

some people's bodies can't handle it as well.. just like some peoples bodies cant handle splenda or aspartame very well.

for some people, aspartame gives them headaches or messes with their blood sugar levels but for others its completely fine.. so just pay attention to how your body functions with high fructose corn syrup IN your diet, and OUT of your diet

Too much sun, you get cancer. Too much sex, you, well, lets no go into that...

Anyway, I would figure it's like just about every other food - Use moderation.

i have been eating healthy ever since birth, really. (no soda, vegetarian diet since birth, no fast food, VERY little processed foods, and all fresh fruits/veggies from our garden) and i am proud to say, i feel 10 times better than my roommate, who has the opposite diet of me. even cutting out fast food can make you healthier... :)

Just like artificial sweeteners (except for the ones derived from plant sugar like sucralose such as splenda and stevia), the HFCS and fake sugars mess with how your body naturally metabolize breaking it down and converting it into energy sugar. Therefore, your body gets confused and just stores it as excess or puts a "use later stamp" on it since those things are man-made and manufactured for robots practically. Its like trying to make your car run on water instead of gas, I'd be nice and cheap (like companies do to roll a profit), but it doesn't help your car out.

try kashi products they are made form all natural items and are big promoters of great tasting healthy food without HFCS and all those long named fake food ingredients
