First, get your hair cut. I know It'll suck--but have them cut off as much as you're comfortable with, to start fresh. I just did this not too long ago and cut off about four inches. From here, adopt a healthier lifestyle.

You can flat iron your hair--just be smart about it.

Pay more for one better product. I use Paul Mitchel Super Skinny Serum everytime I get out of the shower, I use about three pumps, and work it into my hair. If I'm wearing my hair curly, I blow dry it on low with a diffuser. I use It's a great hairdryer, and because it's ionic it doesn't damage your hair.

But, if you don't care about having wet hair, I usually just comb through my hair once when it's wet, then apply the serum, scrunch it a little to help give my curls a more natural shape, and then let it air dry. It dries beautiful and in perfect curls.

When it gets to the point where it's just slightly damp, I spray in some Aussie Sprunch Spray It smells like grapes, and it gives a nice finish without damaging my hair.

You can still straighten your hair!! Just be smart about it! Use a smoothing serum, like always when your hair is wet,

Then spray your hair lightly with a Heat Protecting spray if you have to blow dry your hair before you straighten--I use It's Tresemme and It is the BEST! You can now blowdry your hair, after working some of that into your hair.

Now, If from here you go to straighten, before you straighten, spray your hair lightly again, and then brush it through, then section of your hair and straighten it like you usually would.

It's also a good idea to use a smoothing shampoo--Just to save your hair from potential frizzies. Frizz is natural--especially if you have NATURALLY curly/wavy hair.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is very important to get regular trims. The longest you should go is about 3 months in between trims.

Your hair is a very fragile thing, think of it like lace, and be gentle with it.

I do not believe water 'killed' your hair. You need water to wash your hair. But try washing your hair every other day and not everyday. Use a mild/gentle shampoo for dry and damaged hair. This should help not dry out your hair as much. I believe all the flat ironing is what ruined your hair. You have to becareful when using the flat iron....try to turn the temperature down. I have mine set kinda low so I won't overly burn my hair. I use a heat protectant spray before...but make sure your hair is dry-dry before flat ironing. I use a weekly oil treatment for my hair...(try the VO5 moisture oil hair treatment).. I also use a heat protectant conditioner. I also do not flat iron my hair everyday. Maybe twice a week. You can try buying a deep conditioning hair mask; put it in your hair and wrap your hair up in saran wrap then a towel and let it sit for 30 mins to an hour. This will help and make the conditioner work and return some moisture to your hair. BTW if you really love having straight hair maybe you should get it permenantly straightened.. Look for the Japanese version, it is more gentle on your hair...and your hair will stay straight till you new hair grows out. I have done it once before and it lasted about 2 years. Like once you shower and wash your hair you are done! There is no styling needed your hair is just straight and no frizzies or fly aways.

the only way water can kill your hair is because you burned the water out of your hair

your hair is DEAD it's not living so you have to care for it and if it get's too dry you can get hot oil treatments (you can even buy it at walmart by Vo5)

using a shampoo and conditioner for ultra damaged hair (dove has a great intensive care one)

it's good to have some kind of product that's for anti-frizz something to help protect it during the day even when your out and about and you can just wash off in the evening

first off, go to the hairdressers, get them to cut the #deadends out of your hair.

twice to three times a week, use a deep conditioning treatment.. instead of using it like normal tho, use it like THIS;

1. wet hair, shampoo hair, wash out.

2. while hair is still wet, put conditioner all over it.

3. wrap your hair in cling film

4. leave in for as long as possible.

5. wash out :3

after washing, towel dry, use a heat protection spray and hairdry.

use heat protection spray before using any heat at all.

all i do :) xoxox
