What the frikker is a washed out blonde?

And do I look like one? I want to be blonder but I've got washed-out-blonde-phopia. I was also wondering if anybody else thinks I'd be able to pull of the new britney bangs? My display picture is pretty recent... If you just subtract the brown underneath and substitute the blonde i already have for there, that's pretty much what i look like now but i plan on going blonder. Britney blonde, more specifically. Would that be cool or is that considered washed out?

simple rules to follow:

dont go more than two shades lighter or darker than your natural shade or it will wash you out.

if you do go blonde go golden blonde not britney blonde. but do do her bangs super hot.

a stylist will be able to tell you and prevent you from getting washed out if you let her know. if you do it yourself (which i dont recommend) dont just follow teh color on the box do a sample first.

washed out blonde is usually a artificial blonde that has basically done that; washed out, so that it's lighter and has less pigment, and i think your blonde isn't what's called washed out.

i would do the color a little darker then platinum, but you could still keep the bangs/style. if you did the platinum blond, it would just look fake and unnatural. I think you'd look good with something similair to my hair color (in my avatar or on my on page) with some blonder highlights. xx :3

That's what I found too but my natural hair color is a dull-looking brown so I think I've already broken rule #1 by going blonde.

My hair stylist was also charging me $100 per session to go in to lighten my hair. I've currently spent $400 gettin my hair done by her so I decided to try it myself recently with a $10 box of hair lightener I bought from Walmart. Turned out great, removed pretty much all of the brown that I had previously leftover in my hair. But now I'm undecided what to do to get my hair finished. Do I go back to the really expensive hairdresser or try it again myself??

neither; youre gonna ruin your hair by over processing it. youve already colored it at least once and stripped it...what it needs is a little tlc and heavy treatment conditioner and maybe a haircut soon. Or else you will get to wear your hair short or be a fried washed out blonde rather than a washed out blonde. damaged hair wont hold color as well anyway. i would learn to start liking what you have now and give it a break; possible focus on some different cuts like the bangs. but if you do decide to color it again it wil damage it less with the 100 dollar visit than the box.
