Well, i am always wearing my hair down and teased just a bit. I want to try soemthing new.. Like curling it or something? But FYI I cannot scrunch my hair as i have straight and super thick hair((: Hhaha So, Any ideas?

if you cant scrunch your hair bc your hair is naturally straight i assume, any curl you give it will come out pretty fast-especially since yours is thick too. but if you are willing to put in the time and the effort then I would consider these options:

hot rollers-these create big smooth glamorous curls. put some curling mousse or gel in a strand that has just been brushed through smooth then keep the rollers in it long then blow dry it with warm then cool setting-the cool setting will help the curl last longer and keep it shinier. the negative about hot rollers are that the curls dont last long especially if you style your hair or pull it up or brush it out.

sponge rollers-do the same thing you would with hot rollers except keep them in over night and be sure to use very large rollers otherwise you will have shirley temple curls and you keep them in overnight. your hair will be too curly when you take it out but you can brush it out with your fingers and work with the curls putting curling creme in them to relax them and work with them. these curl stay longer but it hurts to sleep in these rollers

velcro rollers-they give a little body near the end with a bit of curl of used at the ends and lift if used at the top. use them with a bit of volumizing spray or hold spray for lift at the roots. blow dry teh same youwould with hot rollers afterwards. these take practice too

curling iron-use a curling spray or starch spary and/or a heat protectant as well before curling each strand in a spiral way. it can be the easiest but the longest way but very ptretty curls, and depending how long you leave it in ot how much hair you curl you can make some very pretty curl. I can promise you though these curls will probably last the least amount of time and it is the most damaging way.

I would suggest putting you hair up and pinning it with bobby pins with some curling creme or mousse when its damp then sleep on it or blow dry it. your hair may not be curly but it may make a nice wavy look when you take the bobby pins out. just be sure when you put it up you act like your scrunching it then just sort of keep it there with the pins. Good luck!

well i have straight medium length hair and i will bet you any amount of money that my hair is thicker than yours. Your probably sitting there shaking your head thinking "no way". LOL..but im serious, every hairdresser I have ever went to, has always said something along the lines of " wow, i have never seen so much hair. I dont know how you feel, but I personelly dont really like having thick hair, but yet again i wouldnt want paper thin hair. But anyway, i can scrunch my hair and it usually comes out pretty good, ( i cant use a curling iron for some reason, and the only rollers i use are velco rollers to give it volume). Tell me what you've done to try and scrunch your hair in the past, then i'll step by step tell you how i do mine

I can't believe nobody talked about a flat iron. Personally, my new flat iron can make beautiful sweeping curls, and my hair is thick, like yours. (You just can't see it in my picture because it's behind my shoulder.) What I do is mist each layer with Chi Iron Guard beforehand and that makes them stay in place nicely. Then afterward I go over it with hair spray. (BigSexyHair holds like glue but it's not that hard.) I've curled it that way a couple of times and is makes much nicer curls than a curling iron and lasts all day, even though my hair would normally fall out in 30 minutes. I can't give you any hot roller advice because my hairs too layered to put them in. I hope that helps!

flat irons are the way to go if you want curls :)

If you don't want to damage you hair then go in the shower with lots of little plaits and then come out blow dry it straight. Keep it in and go to sleep with it that night and then you should have loads of waves.
