I hope you know everyone has the capacity to feel pretty, or gorgeous. It's all a matter of how you think of yourself and how you see yourself. Sometimes, you just have to take small steps so you can actually see the beauty that you already have . So , if I don't feel as pretty as I should I don't try to hide anything but rather, pamper myself and build up my confidence and self esteem.
So homemade facials (at night, the night before whatever or every other night )

Look at yourself in the mirror, and think of everything you like about yourself and realize that these things, these features, are only specific to you, and that's what makes you special and unique.

You can try a new hairstyle , or what I like to suggest , a temporary hairdye so you can feel different and more upbeat about yourself.

What I wouldn't reccomend is makeup though. In the end, it may make you feel like whenever you "think" you're ugly you need to hide behind it, when it's not the case at all. Treat your skin and your body and yourself and you'll feel good about yourself. : )

it's all about doing what you love. it's all about doing what makes you feel good and don't let anything else get to you! trust me i've been there, i let myself fall in to trends, being like everyone else, and yeah it felt great when a pretty girl or someone popular complimented me. been though i knew they all wanted something from me. it took me forever to realize as long as i felt pretty and didn't let the world get through to me, i WAS pretty. so heres what i suggest and DO IT. IT WORKS
sit down anywhere, somewhere as the computer, at a desk wherever, as long as you have access to your favorite song in the world. get a piece of paper and write, write everything you like about yourself, everything you want to do with your life for 20 FULL minutes. do not stop early, do not reread, do not erase or delete. save the list. after 15 minutes you'll realize something, that all this is attainable.
find your dream and stick it out, succeeding makes you feel good, just like doing what you love ( which essentially is your goals)

TRUST ME ON THIS, i'm an ullzang in CANADA. i wear 15 mm circle lenses, obcessive layers and you can hear my accesories clinking together form a mile away. do people hate on me? YES haters gonna be hating. do i feel self concious somedays? less and less the more i do it. does it make me feel good? YES.
the goal setting thing? i did that right before i turned 13. now? i'm packing my bags for japan.
i don't know if this makes sense to you but take what you will from it. DO WHAT YOU LOVE.

when you look in the mirror, all you see are imperfections. they are magnified times a thousand, that's all you can see. but really, when everyone else looks at you, they only see how pretty you are. ignore that dirty voice in your head, teach yourself to love yourself. the only way you gonna get through this.

Not feeling pretty is one thing and not feeling pretty enough is another.
Do you find yourself judging your looks based on everyone else's? Do you look in the mirror and wish you had some other persons body shape/ size? Do you cry about it, feel depressed, and uncomfortable in your own skin. If you answered yes to any or to allt hese questions then you may have a disorder.

I know that probably sounded like an infomercial, sorry. lol

I feel ugly if I don't have on makeup, but it seems I get more compliments when I don't than when's so annoying!

Aquasm926 Momma here. Thank you ladies for repying to my daughter. I have tried many times to get her to understand the pretty isn't all on the outside, but the inside as well. It helps for her to have others in her general age range and much younger then myself for her to accept the answers.

As a teacher I understand what my middle school students feel everyday and I try to express my general feeling towards my students in a positive light. Problem is all of my students are in Special education and have high needs and are not willing to accept the positive points. I can not convey how greatful I am to you for giving her positive feedback. I can only hope that she accepts herself for who she is. No matter what I will always support my children, even when they feel like the "Ugly" duckling.

Thank you ladies again.
