I want scene/emo hair, how do i ask the hairdresser for it ????

I want my hair cut, mainly my fringe cut like the picture and maybe a coon tail in my hair? i want short choppy layers too, should i take a picture? i just dont want to feel stupid or them to kinda laugh because i have brought a picture in because they never cut it the way i want it anyway... theres another link for another photo i like: http://emostyle-trends.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/gurl_hairstyles_1182842316737_171430d.jpg

i took a picture with me.! the lady knew what to do. the only part that she didn't know how to do is the back because there was no picture of it. so the lady and i talked it over and it turned out great. they are not going to laugh at you.

Yeah, definitely bring a picture. Try and bring a few so she can make it something that will suit your face and body type.

Layers are the key with hairstyles like this - but are you prepared for the upkeep? These reqire straightening and teasing.

Just find a different hairdresser in a more popular salon, like where ALOT of people go there. And im sure there will be a hairdresser in there that will definetley know what your talking about. I think you should take a few pics with you so she will know what you are EXACTLY talking about:) Hope i helped a little:)

ALWAYS TAKE A PIC if you can

scene hair is really alot of layers just teased, so do explain to your stylist that's what's going on in the pic

you might want her give you some tips on teasing

you can even take the hair you have now and tease it and get pretty close to the pic. have you ever tried it?

and truthfully if all you want is your fringe cut get your mom to cut it at eye lenght and use an iron or curler to turn the ends in and to the side

you can textorize them like in the second pic by holding them outward and cutting into the ends just a bit and do it in sections from the bottom layer of your bangs to the top so they are all different lengths and spikes

yea, take a pic because u might tell them what u like but they might be thinking something else than what ur thinking. and explain what u want 2 just in case. And if they never do what u want then try going to a different hair dresser.

just ask for a whole load of layers. both short and long. most scene styles are just layered cuts with styling. as for the coontail, i did mine myself, it's pretty simple. all you do is paint the dye on your hair :) but bringing photos with you is proberbly the best option.
