Gender neutral hair?

Looking for a hairstyle that can be both male and female when I need it. I want to grow out my hair alittle bit since its short now. I have a professional job that I can't have long hair (or dress as female) but a short bob would be appropriate when I want to dress as Amanda on weekends or at night.

So its a tough decision to do it, but I want it to be somewhat gender neutral so I can be both genders when I need to. I dont want a butch haircut when dressed as a female but I dont want to look overly femme when male (if that makes sense - LOL).

How difficult would it be to manage my hair for both genders? Should I consult a salon? Could I possibly grow out the length of my hair and have it styled like the following when dressed....which length and style do you like? Thanks

Try growing it out a bit, but styling it back or putting it into one of those 1940's swept back styles. If you see pictures of men from that era, most of them actually had hair at ear length or longer, but wore it snazzily up for the office! Very cool.

Good luck, sweetie.
