REALLY Dry skin on my chin and above my lip..

At the beginning of this week I tried this acne cream from Walgreens and it completely dried out my face where I put it.

My face has never gotten this dry before, and it hurts like crazy!

I tried putting my mom's carrot moisturizer on the areas, and that usually makes it go away over night.

But I had no such luck.

I tried lotions. and I even put a little aquafina chapstick on it. XD

Then I tried Olay moisturizing pads. Nothing is working.

HELP! I'm not very concerned about my acne at this point. I just want my skin back to normal. :P

I use Clean & Clear Pore Perfecting Moisturizer. It gives a nice balance of moisture while reducing the look of pores, if thats what your after. (Check the picture below) Good Luck!! :))

The same happens to me in winter..... I use a Creme de la Mer moisturizing cream and it worked brilliently!!!!! It is expensive though but it will last and it works brilliently....... I also use clairins Beauty Flash Balm moisturizer and it is really good for dry flakey skin...... Hope these products work as well 4 u as they did 4 me (:

well... first of all, if you haven't already, just never use that same acne cream again. Obviously it doesn't work for you.

second... have you tried just plain oils? Lotions are composed of oils (which do the work) and water (which thins it out). You can try olive oil, which is probably the most common one and can feel kindof greasy. Some lighter oils include sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, hazlenut oil, or jojoba oil (you can find several of these at the grocery store.
Or you could try something like vaseline. When I had really dry hands, I bought Eucerin lotion especially for dry skin.
The only problem you might have is that adding oils to your skin could increase your acne... but if the dry skin problem is the priority, then I would just fix that first.

I hope you work it out :) God Bless
