How can i make my hair grow longer & faster?

My hair is naturally wavy, a light brown. (Thinking about highlights though). Does anyone have any ideas how i can get my hair to grow longer, and faster!? Without exstentions?

You can take vitamins for hair growth , they are also helpful to make your nails grow too. You can take care of it , by not using any straightener on it...and you have to use a good shampoo like garnier ...also you can soak it in oil for 1 hour then rinse it with water , do it 3 times per week :)

Oh boy! The dreadful question that everyone wants to ask! I'd have to say that there's nothing you can really do but wait, or get extensions. There's nothing that will make your hair grow faster trust me I've tried about everything. But, if you eat proper vitamins and take care of your hair it will make it stronger, more shine, and over time will make it longer and you will learn to love your hair - Be patient. When growing your hair split ends tend to make there way to your hair - always cover them up (there are split end menders such as cremes/oils and etc.) it will make your hair feel/look longer and healthier.

Leave In Conditioners* are your best friend. RUSK is a good brand that I use every time I get out of the shower.

Also, Real Olive Oil* is another one of your best friends - apply it all over! I'd recommend doing it when you don't have plans for a few days. It makes your hair VERY moisturized making it look wet for a few days.

Hair Masks* are the perfect thing for your hair if your not getting the right vitamins.

Give your hair a rest* from straighteners and curling irons which stress your hair A LOT.

Human hair only grows 1.25 centimeters per MONTH. And that's if it's healthy. It is impossible to grow hair faster than that, it's scientifically impossible. It doesn't matter what any shampoo or hair care product says, it's not possible!
BUT, if you have damaged/dry hair, that can inhibit your hair from growing at the maximum rate! You should make sure not to wash your hair too much, because that can dry it. Washing it every other day is the optimal idea. But, if you ever have a day where you feel all greasy (We all have those days) then you can wash it. MAKE SURE you use a GOOD conditioner though. And if your hair gets greasy easily, make sure you just apply the conditioner to the bottom section of your hair, and not near the roots! Also, if you use a lot of heat appliances, make sure you use a heat protector! Try to keep heat to the bare minimum!
Also, what you eat plays a major role in hair health.
Foods that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids are best.
Fish, walnuts, flaxseed Romaine lettuce, Brussel sprouts, Tofu, Shrimp, raspberries, Squash, and soybeans are all good for Omega-3.
Also, the vitamin Biotin. Biotin is the vitamin that assists in nail, skin, and hair health. You can buy some supplements at Wal-mart. Regular vitamins contain maybe.. 5% biotin, really not enough. And there are no side affects from taking too much! You pee out what your body doesn't use. Hehe.
If you do all that, your hair will become very healthy and start growing faster! (If it's not already healthy)
