Social Awkwardness...

I'm not really that awkward at all, kind of the opposite but I just need to know how to avoid any situation being awkward. I am pretty outgoing and social but I need to know how to do that a bit more?

if things get awkward just laugh it off, that's what i always do. it also helps to have your best friends with you in awkward situations because they're kinda back up for things to talk about, but if you're in a group of random people it's a little more difficult. use random icebreakers like "what color is your toothbrush?", it's fun. :)

random comments help. i started doing this when i was younger and i got out of school and i would hang out with friends who would bring people i didn't know to hang at parties.

i stared doing random comments or saying 'happy birthday' and it would help break the ices (random comments is even noticing something across the room or repeating a msg on a bill board or a commercial)

I'm always laughing at awkward situations so I don't think it makes people uncomfortable. However, some awkward situations just can't be avoided...the worst is when you are with someone that doesn't laugh. That reminds me of this horrible date i went on recently! We were in his car driving to a movie when a commercial came on the radio for a seafood restaurant and the guy on the commercial was like "Take your date for some fish and maybe you'll get some too" (Gross..I know lol) And I commented on how crazy the commercial was while cracking up and he just was just silent. Most awkward date ever! He ended up inviting 2 of his guy friends to hangout with us after the movie. Yeah. That. Bad. :">
