How can i get my thick, wavy/curly hair into scene hair?

I have insanely thick hair. Im getting it reversed layered (sorta like thinning) soon...since every hairdresser refuses to thin my hair because they think its not necessary. My hair length is to my shoulders and im really into scene hairstyles. How should i get it cut and styled so it won't be TOO big in volume?

welll???i would try asking when you get it cut what kind of hair supplies (gel/mousse etc.) works best on keeping poofy hair down cause my hair does the same thing when its short it goes POOOFFF! I reccomend once u get it cut if u have a straitener try straitening it and then putting in a little bit of mousse or gel just so its not as poofy!:Dim not sure what color air you have but i recommend this scene hair style!!

i would have it shagged/layered like in the picks and then curl the last 3-4 inches of your strands.

underneith it can be straightened to take down some volume but the curls will give you a cute blended look
