Straight Hair

I don't straighten my hair that much but when I do, it doesn't stay straight. After sometime, it becomes wavy (which I don't like). What do I need to do to keep my hair straight for the whole day? I do blow dry my hair first. And please don't tell me to buy a new straightener. If I had to buy a new straightener I wouldn't ask your help :(

my hair is naturally curly, and when it rests on my shoulders it goes waavy too.

..hairspray works for me, if you spray it on your brush, then waft it in the air, and then brush your hair, your hair doesn't look different but it stays straight all daaay! :]

here are some tips to keep your hair straighter for longeer:

-keep your hair long. shorter hairstyles tend to curl up more quickly. the added weight of longer hair can keep it straighter longer,

-use straightening shampoo and conditioner. most major lines make shampoos and conditioners that are designed to help straighten hair. they contain extra ingredients which coat the hair, helping to keep it straight,

-apply a straightening serum or pomade that contains silicone to your hair. use the product all over your hair, including at the roots. the straightening serum or pomade works to protect your hair from humidity and other environmental moisture which can affect your straightened hair,

-try a home remedy to keep hair straight. mix equal parts fresh, grated coconut and lime juice. massage the mixture into your hair and let it sit for approximately twenty minutes. rinse the mixture out and straighten your hair as you normally would. the coconut and lime concoction will coat hair shafts, resulting in straighter hair.

hope i heelped! :thumbup::D

also use an hairspray that doesn't have WATER in it.

adding anything with water to your hair routine can make it rewave back up

any type of moisture is you enemy when trying to keep the wave out

After you are done straightening it, blow dry it on a low cold setting. it will lock in the moisture that makes your hair frizzy or curly. then hair spray it with a hairspray that does not contain water. that should help, i know it worked for me :]

Hey love, same thing used to happen to me. True that if you do straighten your hair, then blow dry it on a cold setting, it will lock the straightness in. Same thing works with locking in curls (:

Also try some products that are supposed to make your hair sraight. You usually lather them into your damp hair.
