well first it will stay swolen for a good time. when you strech/sprain something it will be sore for a while.

i know mine sayed in pain for atleast a week but it's ALWAYS GOOD TO GO TO THE DR AND GET AN X RAY to make sure nothing was broken

and you should always tell your mom and see what she says. keep it up when you can and ice can help take down the swealling. i sprained mine when i was running behind my school on the side walk and fell off the side.

You should tell your mom so she can help you wrap it up for school. You do not want to injure it again. try to put some ice on it for the swelling. You can take possibly an anti-inflammatory like an IB Prophen ( if your not allergic) to help with the swelling and pain for school. Try to stay off the ankle as much as possible and when you are at home try to keep it elevated to reduce swelling.
