So you love cropped tops and are
perfectly ok with cropped tops being your ready-to-go choice for any occasion,
anytime of the year. But it would be completely incomplete without you relating
to the following.
You absolutely love summer
If there’s one season in the year
that’s just perfect for showing off all of your cropped tops and cropped top
styling techniques - along with some skin show, that has to be summer and only
summer. Ok maybe spring too, but still… only summer. Cropped tops are a great
way to beat the sweltering heat in peak summer seasons and they can still be
styled in a number of chic ways. Cropped
tops and sheers look very haute in hot summers.
Catching a cold… belly
Cropped tops are not meant only
for, but are typically worn in the summers. Well, that’s’ what most people
would say. But if you’re one of those girls who is just addicted to cropped top
no matter what day of the year it is, you’ll probably know what this feels
like. Even if you try to wear something that’s not too short for a cold wintery
afternoon, your belly is still going to find a way to make a peeping appearance
as you raise your body to reach out to something or even do something as simple
as twist your waist. Well there’s nothing really wrong with that, but yea,
there are times when a cold belly can be a bit uncomfortable.
Not too many full length tops in your wardrobe
So… when you’re at the mall
looking for some additions to make to your wardrobe, or even browsing tops
online, and you see this gorgeous full length top. But seconds later, your eyes
land on a cute cropped top that
you absolutely must have in your wardrobe. And guess what? You end up buying
the latter! So yea, this probably happens a lot of times – so often that you
practically have only cropped tops in your wardrobe and nothing else. And a
time comes when wearing a full length shirt actually starts feeling weird! This
could be a problem actually.
And continuing with the point
above, since you have an abundance of cropped tops in your wardrobe, styling
options can be a tad bit limited for you. Considering the fact that cropped
tops can make your upper body look short, or broad, or both at the same time,
selecting a bottom can actually be tricky. You’d obviously want to focus on styles
that minimize the broad look. But if your love for cropped tops is eternal,
then you can actually use this limitation to your advantage by not spending too
much on bottoms that don’t suit your personal style.
High-waisted bottoms are your best friend
And while we’re still on pairing
bottoms with your cropped top fetish, the one pair of bottoms that almost
always makes it to your wardrobe are high-waisted pants... or high-waisted
shorts… or a high-waisted skirt… basically anything and everything with a high
waist. They’re actually quite cool you know. They help to balance out the
broadening illusion of cropped tops and give your body the hourglass figure
that women are quite literally doing everything between exercising in a
waist-trainer to going to the surgeon to acquire.
Everyone has something to say to you
And that’s usually not something
you’d want to hear. “You’re not dressed formal enough,” “why is your belly
peeping,” “You need to change your sense of style,” but the one that probably
ticks you the most is “You’re looking fat!”
So what’s your favorite cropped
top from your wardrobe?
