Make-up: this season's INs

Season's name is VIVID - the big deal now is to look healthy and natural, yet powerful and striking.

This season highlighted the nocturnal eye shine and put in the blue eyeshadow to break the black monotony. Faded blues and grays are totally in now and it's about time. Instead of putting your boring black once again and disappear in the night, you can mix and fade black, gray and blue to get killer eyes. Avoid all the way the black only make-up, specially if you have dark eyes. I so know how it improves your stare when you wear some blue to break the carbon. Along with the black look, the pastels got to go away too. Let's power strike this year, forget the so-so. One thing to be careful: shine. Do not overdo the shine of the eyeshadow, or it'll look heavy anyway, and not in a good way.

Shine! Don't overdo, though. Pale faces are out. This season looks for a more healthy and natural look. Try to make your face look vivid and never tired. Use light facial illuminators, specially in the cheek bones to lift your face. If you have already a shiny skin, be careful. Use little rice powder papers to clean the brightness excess and then put a light foundation. It's light, but never pale: if you have a tan skin, search for a foundation of your color. Never, neeever put something lighter or darker. Lighter will look like stage make-up and darker gives you a heavy and tired expression. Keep YOUR color. Also, to increase the youth look, pink blush all the way. Avoid copper.

Last year's mania was the beige lipstick, which I loved too. But let's make an agreement: that was way too dead. Along with the black eyes, this is a no-no right now. Make your face lively and healthy finishing the make-up with a good reddish lipstick. Take care, though: reddish doesn't mean that shiny red. Natural is the keyword. The goal is to get a nude lip color with a touch of energy, vitality. A contrast with the strong and cold eyes is that slight sunset end color, turning your lips gorgeous without looking necessarily like make-up. Basically, not that nude but not that shiny: try peach colors and coral. If you do look good in red, try the opaque ones.
